  • Genshin Impact's newest update includes a major change to the Spiral Abyss, offering a new helpful quality-of-life function for players grinding the endgame dungeon/
  • Players will now have the option to reconfigure their party after being defeated during a floor of the Spiral Abyss, also granting players the option to change characters' Artifacts and Weapons.

Genshin Impact players are discovering a helpful feature added to the Spiral Abyss game mode with the Version 4.7 update, allowing players to easily change their parties. HoYoverse has made quality-of-life improvements for the massively popular RPG a major focus following the release of the Fontaine region late last year. The developer would bring Honkai: Star Rail's daily commissions to the game and this year even saw HoYoverse finally increase Genshin Impact's Resin cap. Now, the Spiral Abyss is benefitting from a major new change in Version 4.7.

The Spiral Abyss has served as Genshin Impact's main form of endgame content since the RPG first released in late 2020. Players are tasked with battling through twelve different floors of increasingly powerful enemies, with the top four floors featuring a lineup of foes that rotates with each month. Each new cycle of the Spiral Abyss also comes with unique buffs, typically catered to the game's newly-released five-star characters. The newest update to the game has now introduced a helpful feature that could make a major difference to players grinding the Spiral Abyss.

In a post shared to the Genshin Impact subreddit by Reddit user DemolizerTNT, fans are discovering a helpful new feature added to the Spiral Abyss. After being defeated while battling through a floor of the Spiral Abyss, players now have the "Reconfigure Party" option, allowing them to change their team and try the stage again. Reconfiguring the player's party will result in any progress on that floor being lost, though the new option does give players a quick and easy way to alter their team composition.

Genshin Impact Adds Helpful Spiral Abyss Quality-of-Life Feature

As many fans pointed out, the update to Genshin Impact's Spiral Abyss also comes with another major change to the dungeon. While changing their lineup, players can use Genshin Impact's party screen to change their characters' Artifacts and Weapons between different floors of the Abyss. Fans of Genshin Impact have been quick to praise the newest update to the Spiral Abyss, particularly commenting on the current cycle's Floor 11 as a helpful area to be able to adjust team compositions.

The helpful new changes to the Spiral Abyss serve as one part of a plethora of updates to Genshin Impact's endgame content in Version 4.7. HoYoverse officially added its newest game mode during the most recent update with the introduction of the "Imaginarium Theater." Set to launch on July 1, Genshin Impact's Imaginarium Theater will feature a similar rotating challenge to the Spiral Abyss, boasting unique buffs and party-building restrictions. Genshin Impact's most experienced players look to have plenty to do throughout the game's latest update.
