How much does building 5-bedroom house cost in Kenya?
Real estate content creator Edna gave a tour of the property while offering a breakdown of the over KSh 11 million mansion.
The maisonette in Gataka, Rongai, has five bedrooms and sits on a 100 by 100 piece of land.
A black gate accesses it, and the compound is paved with cabro blocks, grass sections, and a small kitchen garden.
The house is built on sloping land, which needed more investment in the foundation for stability, and the owner spent KSh 1.3 million.
A front porch leads into the living room area with gypsum ceilings.
The cost of the ground floor walling and column works is KSh 689,000.
The ground floor also features two bedrooms, a dining area, a guest washroom and a kitchen with lime-green cabinets.
The first floor has three bedrooms and a terrace with sweeping views of the surrounding area, including a stream.
A solar system fully powers the home, and the panels are mounted to the rooftop.
The cost of constructing the second floor is 2 million.
The steel casement, windows and doors cost 764,000, while the plastering and fittings totalled over KSh 4 million.
Paint carpentry plumbing and electrical instalments cost KSh 2.9 million.
Construction of the rooftop area cost KSh 140,000.
