Hazrat Ali Birth Anniversary: All Schools In UP To Remain Closed On Jan 25

The Uttar Pradesh government has declared a holiday in all state schools on January 25 on the occasion of Muhammad Hazrat Ali’s birth anniversary.

From Nursery through Class 12, all public and private schools are closed. The state’s offices, colleges, and schools were closed earlier by the government because of Ram Lalla’s consecration ceremony in Ayodhya on January 22.

According to the notice, all state-run and private schools, from pre-nursery to class 12, will be closed on Thursday, January 25, 2024, in honour of Muhammad Hazrat Ali’s birth anniversary. Republic Day will be observed on January 26, according to the notification. With the Department of Education, this notice has been distributed to every school in the state.

The states of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Delhi, Bihar, Haryana, Rajasthan, and North Madhya Pradesh are among those in North India that are enduring cold waves. As a result, the government changed the hours of secondary schools and declared a school holiday for primary students.

Given the increasing cold weather conditions, the district magistrate of Agra has issued an order declaring a holiday for students in grades up to eight. The start date of these classes was supposed to be January 25, but because of the Republic Day holiday and the anniversary of Hazrat Ali’s birth, the start date has been moved to January 27.

Additionally, the hours of instruction for classes 9 through 12 were changed to run from 10.30 AM to 3.30 PM during this time. Conversely, the Lucknow District Magistrate has mandated the implementation of virtual learning until January 27th. Furthermore, guidelines for installing room heaters in classrooms have been released.
