Jade Thirlwall reveals the very first messages she and Jordan Stephens sent to each other as she gives a rare insight into their relationship

Jade Thirlwall shared the very first messages she and boyfriend Jordan Stephens ever sent to each other almost four years ago as she gave a rare insight into the couple’s romance.

Diehard fans will know that Jade, 30, and Jordan’s relationship began when the Rizzle Kicks star, 32, asked a mutual friend to set them up.

The Little Mix star then took matters into her own hands and sent a cheeky message to Jordan using the words from his original message to the friend.

Sharing the messages for the first time, Jade captioned them ‘it’s shoot your shot day’ and ‘you never know’.

Jade and Jordan first met over Zoom in early 2020 before their direct messages led to a socially distanced park date.

Jade shared the messages Jordan sent to their mutual friend, and she and Jordan’s intial DMs, for the first time captioning them ‘it’s shoot your shot day x’ and ‘you never know x’

After hearing that Jordan was interested, Little Mix star took matters into her own hands and sent a cheeky message to Jordan using the words from his original message to the friend

They made their first public appearance together at a Black Trans Lives Matter rally in July 2020 where they were seen arm in arm.

Jade confirmed the two were in a relationship by referring to Jordan as her boyfriend on an episode of Ru Paul’s Drag Race in October 2020.

In May 2021, Jade celebrated the one-year of her first DM to Jordan, writing: ‘1 year since I slid in the DMs.’

Jordan rose to fame as one-half of hip-hop duo Rizzle Kicks known for their hits Mama Do The Hump and Olly Murs collaboration Heart Skips A Beat.

They unofficially split in 2015 and since then Jordan has ventured into solo music, writing, advertisements, and acting.

Jade’s group Little Mix disbanded in 2022 and since then each member has released solo music bar Jade.

She has repeatedly promised her fans that she is working on it, but in the meantime she is an officially recognised songwriter.

Jade and Jordan moved in together in October 2020 and she revealed at the time she thought they were perfectly suited.

She previously told the Metro: ‘Anyone who has supported you through hard times is really important.

‘It’s quite special seeing that. It’s the one positive to come out of this. Me and Jordan… we are a good match. We are so chilled out, we are horizontal!’
