WINDHOEK, 27 NOV (NAMPA) – Rundu-based Premiership team Julinho Sporting secured four points out of a possible six on the road during rounds 10 and 11 of the 2023/24 Debmarine Namibia Premiership in Windhoek.The Debmarine Namibia Premiership’s 10th and 11th rounds commenced with action in Windhoek on Wednesday.On Saturday and Sunday, Julinho Sporting earned four valuable points from their fixtures against Tigers and Civics at the Independence Stadium.In their Saturday fixture against Tigers, the Rundu-based outfit salvaged a single point after coming from behind to equalise in the second half. Despite Tigers opening the scoring early in the second half, Julinho managed to share the spoils after being awarded a penalty.On Sunday, in their second fixture of the weekend, Julinho managed to collect maximum points against Civics FC, who struggled during the weekend. With the win against Civics, they moved to the 10th position on the log, tied on 11 points with Civics, who are 11th in the standings.In other fixtures played over the weekend, Okakarara Young Warriors shared the spoils with Civics FC on Saturday, while Young Brazilian collected maximum points from Premier League newcomers Eeshoke Chula Chula in Keetmanshoop with a 4-2 defeat.Meanwhile, Young African collected two points from their weekend fixtures against Blue Waters and Okahandja United. In their Saturday fixture, they had a goalless draw against coastal outfit Blue Waters in Gobabis, while in their Sunday fixture, they drew one-all against Okahandja United.African Stars took advantage of FC Ongos’ Friday defeat to Okahandja United to go top of the Premier League for the first time this season. In their Saturday fixture, the defending champions defeated Life Fighters 1-0 and then repeated the same score margin on Sunday against UNAM FC in Okahandja.Young Brazilian suffered a 3-1 defeat against Mighty Gunners, dropping three points at home after collecting maximum points on Saturday against Eeshoke Chula Chula. Ohangwena-based outfit Chula Chula lost their third consecutive match on Sunday against Khomas NamPol 1-0 at the Independence Stadium.As of the end of the weekend, African Stars lead the log standings with 26 points.
