The malicious actions of Russian spies in Britain are causing concern among British officials, according to Grant Shapps, UK Secretary of State for Defence on Twitter (X).
“The allegations of Russian malign activity in the UK are deeply concerning,” the Secretary noted.
He added that anyone caught assisting foreign intelligence would be held accountable.
“The UK will never be deterred from backing Ukraine by Russia’s futile attempts to shake our resolve,” emphasized Shapps.
Arrest of Russian spy in Britain
Today, April 26, it became known that legal proceedings have begun in Britain against 20-year-old Dylan Earl. The young man may have been working for Russian intelligence.
Allegedly, he set fire to a commercial property in London associated with Ukraine. He also attempted to recruit others for similar arson activities.
Russian spies have been detained multiple times in European countries. Specifically, their activities were aimed against Ukraine and Western assistance to Ukrainian defenders.
