Could major countries have been retrieving materials from UFO crashes for nearly a century as part of a “secret” arms race?
Well, that’s what UFO whistleblower David Grusch is alleging, Knewz.com has learned.
David Grusch, a UFO whistleblower who previously served as a former United States Air Force intelligence officer, told the International Coalition for Extraterrestrial Research that China has its own UFO task force and that there had also been “engagement” from Russia.

Grusch further stated that some of the world’s major countries have been in a competition to find UFO materials following crashes since 1933, according to The Daily Star.
Speaking with podcaster Joe Rogan, Grusch referenced an alleged UFO crash event that took place in 1933 in Italy.
“Pope Pius XII and the Vatican were involved,” he said, “back channeling it through the OSS which became the CIA, and later to [then-president Franklin D. Roosevelt] and that’s how the U.S. knew something weird happened.”

That alleged crash predates the famous Roswell crash in New Mexico, where some believe parts of a UFO were recovered. Conspiracy theorists have gone so far as to theorize that aliens were rescued from the site and taken to military bases for testing.
Grusch said that the crash in Lombardy, Italy had major world players involved, including Germany’s Adolph Hitler.
The major leaders were being sent descriptions of a “saucer-shaped” craft that allegedly crashed.

“The Italians were so confused they actually called up the Germans and they were like, Is this one of your Wunderwaffe [secret weapons]? What the hell just crashed in Northern Italy?” Grusch told Rogan. “Mussolini asked the Germans to come down, and of course, the Germans said, ‘This isn’t one of ours but let’s look at it together.'”
Grusch told Rogan that this “secret” UFO arms race is ongoing today. However, he said he couldn’t be very specific because he’s “not here to help Russia and China calibrate their intelligence collection.”
“I’m here to protect national security,” he said. “But I’m just trying to put all the general topics out there for public conversation, to hold our government accountable.”
Grusch also said that the U.S. has recovered materials from UFO sites that are “in the double digits.”

Despite Grusch’s claims, there are plenty of skeptics. That includes science writer and conspiracy theory debunker Mick West, who said in June that Grusch had made inaccurate statements, including saying that the United States government is covering up UFO information.
“I don’t think what he’s saying is accurate. I think it’s possible he’s believing what he’s saying, but it’s an incredible story that really needs some actual verification,” West told NewsNation.
However, other military members have come forward with their stories of alleged encounters.
UFOs have been a subject of debate for a long time. By: MEGA
As Knewz.com previously reported, Jeff Nuccetelli, a former United States Air Force patrolman, spoke on the “Merged” podcast about an encounter he allegedly had in October 2023.
“I’m getting ready to jump in the car,” Nuccetelli told Merged host, retired U.S. Navy fighter pilot Lt. Ryan Graves, “and then all hell breaks loose, and they start screaming over the radio, ‘It’s coming right at us. It’s coming right for us. Now it’s right here.’
“It was hard to hear,” the former USAF patrol officer said, “because they were screaming, and they were scared.”
