Members of staff looks at John Lennon’s psychedelic eye mosaic, commissioned for the swimming pool at his home in Kenwood, Surrey, which is on display at Bonhams auction house in Kinghtsbridge, London, ahead of the Rock, Pop and Film sale on Wednesday. Consisting of approximately 17,000 tiles, the mosaic was created by Joseph Ritrovato, a master tiler who single-handedly installed it on the deep-end wall of John Lennon’s swimming pool at Kenwood in Surrey, which he owned from July 1964 to late spring 1968.
