Tuesday's rapid fire: RTX, Pepsi, Nucor, Novartis and Cadence Design Systems

Let’s go through some other earnings reports of the day. We’ll do it in rapid fire fashion. A lot of these names are bullpen names by the way. So you had RTX big earnings be reaffirms the full year guide 12% organic sales growth. Greg Hayes’s last quarter, he goes out at an absolute high. This is Pat and Whitney and also the engines that were recalled not an issue turned out to be very few that were actually damaged. It is good PepsiCo, they beat earnings by 11 cents. Organic revenue only up 2.7%. People feel that the US was just too weak and so they can’t make it up internationally. Yeah, new core, a rare miss here from their pre announcement that earnings $3.46 versus 365 consensus. They said Q2 will be sequentially lower. So it’s lower prices but higher volumes. Maybe that’s good for pal. Now they will be on tonight and they are part of the poster boy for is the week March. We can’t keep prices increasing too far. Lower prices. I mean to me they increase prices too far. Novartis double digit sales growth or margin expansions raises their full year outlook. Been waiting for him to deliver on a lot of his promises. This was a promised delivery quarter and I think it’s pretty great. And maybe just circle back to Cadence design. So they beat in Q1. The Q2 guide was lighter than expected. Some of it maybe explained away through a customers delaying orders due to a hardware transition. It made sense to me because they kept the second-half intact. Now this was down, this was down 18 at one point and people are rethinking and they’re saying no way to second. There was a product transition. By the way, you know what best strong was invidious. It’s very interesting. NVIDIA was, you know, they had different, they went over the different parts and the, the hardware changeover did not have impact NVIDIA which had extraordinary sales and I think that that’s really important.
