One of the biggest trades ever took place on November 27 when Hardik Pandya returned to Mumbai Indians in an all-cash deal worth Rs 15 crore. On the other hand, to accommodate the deal, MI traded star Australian Cameron Green to Royal Challengers Bangalore for a whopping Rs 17.5 crore. Thus, Green has now overtaken Virat Kohli in an elite list that he headed for 6 years.
Cameron Green has now become the most expensive player in the history of Royal Challengers Bangalore. Virat Kohli was retained by RCB ahead of the IPL 2018 auction for a whopping sum of Rs 17 crore. However, the Rs 17.5 crore acquisition of Green has made him overtake Virat Kohli.

Cameron Green was bought by the Mumbai Indians in rhe IPL 2022 auction for Rs 17.5 crore, thus making him the second-most expensive player in the history of the IPL. He was pretty successful in his first season for MI. He smashed 452 runs from 16 games including 2 half centuries and a hundred. He scored runs at an average of 50 and a strike rate of 160.28. He also chipped in with 6 wickets.
