AAP to nominate cricketer Harbhajan Singh to Rajya Sabha from Punjab
CSK’s wicket keeper batter MS Dhoni has been in some incredible form this season hitting the bowlers around the park at an unbelievable strike rate of 260. However, MS Dhoni’s former Indian teammate and part of 2011 World Cup squad Harbhajan Singh has has stated that the feat achieved by Thala, as he is known amongst his fans, isn’t extraordinary and players like Kieron Pollard also hit sixes.
Harbhajan Singh has been a part of both Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians setup during different phases of his career. The veteran bowler was recently answering a question by Star Sports anchor Tanay Tiwari about the first time CSK and MI met in the finals of IPL in 2010 when he drew sharp comment on MSD’s performance in that game.
During the penultimate clash of 2010 IPL season, CSK scored 168 runs in their 20 overs backed by Suresh Raina’s 57 (off 35 balls) while MS Dhoni’s 22 off 15 balls also helped provide finishing touches to the total. Dhoni’s 22 run knock included a one-handed six and two boundaries.
However, the anchor’s persistence on asking questions about MS Dhoni’s six during the IPL 2010 final led to Harbhajan Singh stating that the former CSK captain did not do anything extraordinary and MI’s Kireon Pollard also hit sixes in that game.
Speaking about the IPL 2010 final, Harbhajan said (as quoted by Crictoday), “Dhoni didn’t do anything extraordinary. Even Kieron Pollard hit sixes in that game. Hitting a six with one hand is not a big thing. It happens in a game,”
MS Dhoni to play for India in T20 World Cup:
Recently, former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan had said that if former Indian batter MS Dhoni wants to play the T20 World Cup, no one will deny him the opportunity. He said, “If he says he wants to play in the T20 World Cup, no one will deny him that chance. It may not happen, but no one will mind, no one will have a problem with it. The guy is batting so well.”
