Katie Taylor is punching the air all the way to the bank after her latest win

It was one hell of a weekend for Katie Taylor as she took to the ring at Dublin’s 3Arena to face the (until now) undisputed super-lightweight champion of the world Chantelle Cameron.

Chantelle was the first woman to beat Katie in a professional bout in May, so the Bray boxer was seen as the underdog going into the fight but she came out on top and has now requested a rematch at Croke Park next year.

She is one of the most renowned female boxers in the world and at 37 years of age, Katie has made pretty penny from it.

Katie owns a company called KT Sports Ltd and although the property letting and apparel retail firm made a loss of €85,000 and €37,700 over the last few years she is still worth a major €1.6m.

When it comes to properties, accounts for the past 12 months ending in June show an accumulated worth of €753,900.

According to Business Plus, Katie has been raking it in as she began to climb to the top earning between €700,000 and €1m. The first time she came up against Cameron, her earnings would have been somewhere between €1 million and €3 million.

After her victory against Cameron at the weekend, it is believed that Katie pocketed at least €2 million from the fight and if a match is arranged for Croke Park next, year, the star will also make a huge sum.

Oh and if this does go ahead don’t forget Ed Sheeran has promised to perform at it… Now if that isn’t a seller, along with a fight with one of the world’s greatest, then we don’t know what is!
