kareena kapoor, sara tendulkar celebrate after rohit sharma reverse sweeps jadeja for a four – watch
Rohit Sharma was on fire for the Mumbai Indians on Sunday (April 14) during the IPL 2024 match against the Chennai Super Kings. The 36-year-old right-handed batter scored 105 runs from 63 balls. During his stay at the crease, Rohit hammered 11 fours and five sixes. But his knock went in vain, as the Mumbai Indians lost the match by 20 runs.
In reply to CSK’s total of 206 runs, the five-time champions could only manage to score 186 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Even though Rohit wasn’t able to take MI past the finish line, he entertained the fans present at Wankhede Stadium to watch the match between the two successful teams in IPL history.
After Dhoni took the limelight by smacking three sixes in a row in the first inning, Rohit ruled the proceedings by scoring his second century in the IPL in the second half of the match. By scoring his second IPL hundred, Rohit also became the first player to score multiple centuries in the cash-rich league for MI. He also created a new record by becoming the first Indian batter to score 500 sixes in T20s.
