Sprint Highway’s Semantan To KL Slip Road Fully Closed Until Dec 31

If you’re a regular user of the Sprint expressway, you’ll need to do some planning for your trips as the Semantan to Kuala Lumpur (KL) slip road is now closed. The closure started from the 25th of November, to 31st December 2023, according to Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur’s official Facebook.

The reason for the full closure of the slip road is to facilitate the construction of a flyover. When completed, it will connect Jalan Maarof to Jalan Semantan.

During the road closure period, users of the Sprint highway from Bukit Damansara/Jalan Beringin heading to KL will have to take Jalan Johar. For this purpose, Jalan Johar will become a two way road during the closure period.

The area surrounding the Semantan to KL slip road is usually a very busy area of the road, and the road closure and construction won’t help matters. Therefore, prudent planning is advised for travellers frequenting that area.

As mentioned above, the slip road is closed to facilitate the second phase construction of a flyover that will connect Jalan Maarof to Jalan Semantan.

The flyover has been open to the public since July this year, but only two lanes were available to use. The second phase construction will hopefully, make the third lane of the flyover available to the public sooner rather than later.
