Fine Gael candidate for Arklow, Laurie Kearon, recently launched her campaign to a packed audience at Bates Nua Restaurant in Rathdrum.
Among the highlights of the evening was the address by the Cathaoirleach of Wicklow County Council, Aoife Flynn Kennedy, who praised Ms Kearon’s “trustworthiness, capability, integrity, and proactive approach to solving issues”.
Also speaking on the night were former Minister of Agriculture, Food and the Marine Andrew Doyle and former TD Billy Timmins, who underscored Ms Kearon’s commitment to the community.
Ms Kearon took the opportunity to share her vision for south Wicklow, focusing on the welfare of its older residents, enhancing safety and security for all, and the urgent need for comprehensive recreational facilities.
“We are all blessed to live in a part of Ireland that is so beautiful, has so many wonders, and it is such a lovely environment that people have chosen this area in which to live,” Ms Kearon said.
“However, there are many things that need improvement, and residents here deserve the strong representation I will bring to south Wicklow.”
