2026 Genesis GV70 Will Be Updated with a Huge New Screen Inside

  • Genesis revealed an updated version of the GV70 compact luxury SUV.
  • It features a 27.0-inch screen inside that serves as both the digital gauge cluster and the central infotainment system.
  • Genesis confirmed to C/D that this version won’t arrive in the U.S. until the 2026 model year, as the 2025 model without these updates is already on sale here.

This is the freshly updated version of the Genesis GV70, which features tweaked front- and rear-end designs and a reworked interior that incorporates a huge new display. The Sport trim level also features some design changes that distinguish it further from the standard model. Because the 2025 GV70 has already been released in the U.S. with minimal changes, this facelift will have to wait until the 2026 model year on our shores.

The exterior design changes aren’t drastic and at the front end include reshaped headlights, a different grille pattern, larger air intakes, and a new lower bumper. The rear turn signals are now integrated into the taillights, and the 19-inch wheel design is new.

You’ll spot far bigger changes inside, where the centerpiece is a new widescreen OLED display measuring 27.0 inches. It stretches from behind the steering wheel all the way to the center stack, with a digital gauge cluster on the left and the infotainment touchscreen on the right. The climate controls are also now operated by a touch panel lower on the console. The steering wheel is new and has a revised Genesis logo in the center.

The Sport trim level now has a layered grille pattern, a rear diffuser, dark-chrome exhaust tips, and a new 21-inch wheel design. A flat-bottom steering wheel and orange stitching distinguish the interior.

We don’t expect major changes to the GV70’s powertrain offerings, which include a turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-four and a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6. These updates will also likely roll out to the electric version, called the Electrified GV70, soon enough.

Genesis confirmed that it will be a little while before this update reaches the U.S. While it will go on sale in Korea next month, a Genesis spokesperson confirmed to C/D that it will be a 2026 model-year vehicle on our shores. The 2025 GV70 is already on sale and doesn’t feature these changes. Stay tuned for more details to come on the updated model’s powertrains, specs, and availability within the coming months.
