Kurt Capewell could be heading for the exit at the Brisbane Broncos after he was spotted talking to Warriors coach Andrew Webster in recent days.
Capewell’s contract finishes with the Broncos at the end of 2024 and he is free to negotiate with rivals.
The Warriors have reportedly offered the premiership winner a three-year-deal and would be open to him moving immediately.
The Broncos could accommodate that happening with Capewell unlikely to be at the club post-2024.

“It’s highly likely that Kurt Capewell has played his last game for the Brisbane Broncos, he’s contracted next year in 2024 but the Broncos have informed him that they would not be signing him for any further years after that,” 9News Queensland reporter Ben Dobbin said.
“He hasn’t made up his mind yet but the Broncos, talking to them today, have given him his blessing if he wanted to take up that (deal) and give him an early release.”
The Broncos recently re-signed second-rowers Jordan Riki and Brendan Piakura, with the latter set to take Capewell’s spot after next season.
While Capewell is a much admired figure at the Broncos, his release could free up cash to re-sign Ezra Mam and Reece Walsh.
The second-rower previously worked with Warriors boss Andrew Webster at the Panthers when he was an assistant coach.
