Sky News host Paul Murray says cost of living is something the Albanese government “talks the talk but does not walk the walk”.
“There’s the whoppers that get told, the little half-truths, the little sleight of hand, the little games that get played, hoping that you won’t pay attention,” he said.
“There was this absolute whopper from the Treasurer today suggesting that his government’s policies to do with cost of living were able to save the inflation rate from going up an extra half of one per cent.”
Labor ‘talks the talk’ on cost of living but doesn’t ‘walk the walk’
Mr Murray said the biggest reason Labor is suffering in the polls is because of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
“His lack of leadership, his want to put the country through what became deeply divisive in that referendum,” he said.
