Lagusnilad underpass reopens today
MANILA, Philippines — After six months of repairs, the Lagusnilad underpass in Manila will reopen to motorists today.
The Manila city government spent P25 million while the Department of Public Works and Highways disbursed P50 million to rehabilitate the underpass, according to earlier reports.
The underpass, a one-way road that brings motorists from Quiapo, Sta. Cruz and Binondo to Taft Avenue, has been closed since May due to potholes and water leaks.
Drivers took Padre Burgos Avenue, Roxas Boulevard, Kalaw Avenue and United Nations Avenue to reach Taft Avenue while the underpass was being repaired.
