The Manila International Airport Authority has warned the public against a social media page selling left-behind items at the NAIA.

The Manila International Airport Authority has warned the public against a social media page selling unclaimed luggage and other travelers’ items at the NAIA.

According to Joseph Morong’s report on “24 Oras,” the MIAA called the online promo a scam.

The page which claimed to be NAIA’s is offering the supposedly lost-and-found items for sale online.

There is also a raffle draw for a chance to win baggage for only P500. However, the page would ask for the interested party’s bank details.

“Huwag po kayong magpapa-scam sa mga ganito… We should think twice kapag hiningi na yung bank account mo,” MIAA spokesperson Connie Bungag said.

(Do not be scammed… We should think twice if they asked for your bank account.)

Lost and found items are taken to storage facilities at the NAIA Terminal 1 after two days.

Items which remain unclaimed after six months are auctioned but never sold online.

“All biddings conducted by the NAIA are published,” Bungag said.
