PETALING JAYA: The education ministry is looking into claims that the 2023 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) history examination paper has been leaked.
Education minister Fadhlina Sidek said “necessary action” would be taken if the allegation was found to be true.
“The ministry upholds high integrity in its tight controls on public examination papers, based on the standard operating procedures.
“Whatever the allegation is, we will investigate. At the same time, the children must not be disturbed by this allegation. Give them space to focus on the ongoing examination.
“We will investigate thoroughly and handle this matter responsibly,” she was reported by Harian Metro as saying during a visit to SMK Nilai Impian, Negeri Sembilan.
Three years ago in 2021, controversy also surrounded the SPM history paper after topics and questions were allegedly circulated on social media before the exam.
