PS Plus Monthly Games for December 2023 Wish List

Sony is expected to reveal the next batch of games for the PS Plus Essential Tier on Wednesday, November 29, before their addition on Tuesday, December 5. Until that time, subscribers can still claim the PS Plus free games for November 2023. These include Aliens: Fireteam Elite, Dragon Ball: The Breakers, and Mafia 2: Definitive Edition.

However, with the announcement so close and of course the month wrapping up, many are no doubt looking forward to the PS Plus free games for December 2023, as well as the Extra and Premium games that follow them. It’s uncertain what Sony will reveal, as there are so many good options, but the following would all perform great on the service either way.

PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers should note that 11 games are scheduled to leave the lineup come December 19.

PS Plus Free Game for December 2023: The Last of Us Part 1

Recently, Sony and Naughty Dog announced that The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered would be released in January 2024. In addition to a few general upgrades, it features some playable “Lost Levels” of the game, as well as a new roguelike mode. To get even more folks interested in that release, it would make sense to push more folks diving into the first one if they haven’t or just haven’t played the latest available version. It should be noted that 2014’s Last of Us Remastered is available on one of PS Plus’ tiers, and there is a limited-time trial for The Last of Us Part 1 already on PS Plus Premium. However, it would not be the first time a trial game jumped to a full-featured game, and doing so would go a long way in this particular instance.

PS Plus Free Game for December 2023: Mega Man 30th Anniversary Bundle

Sometimes, one PS Plus free game will be a collection or bundle in place of one game. What this means is that PS Plus gives away one big game that contains a few games within it, technically giving fans access to 2-3+ games as “one” release. There’s hardly a better time to pull such a move than around the holidays, and the Mega Man 30th Anniversary Bundle would be great for nostalgic gamers. This would honestly be one of the most content-heavy single releases on PS Plus in the service’s history, as the 30th Anniversary Bundle compiles Mega Man 11 and a handful of legacy collection games, giving fans a total of 19 games (8 Mega Man X games and 11 mainline games). Notably, even if Sony worked with Capcom to choose just one of the Legacy Collections within this Bundle, it would still make a great PS Plus title.

PS Plus Free Game for December 2023: El Paso, Elsewhere

El Paso, Elsewhere officially launched in September 2023, and while most titles do not hit services like PS Plus or Xbox Game Pass within so few months after launch (if not day-one games), it’s worth noting how many high-profile releases there were in September. Giving El, Paso Elsewhere more time to shine as part of the PS Plus line-up in December just makes sense. This Neo-Noir third-person shooter pits players against werewolves and vampires in a reality-shifting motel, alongside much, much more.

PS Plus Extra and Premium Games for December 2023 Wish List

It’s nearly impossible to narrow down any possibilities coming to PS Plus Extra and Premium at any given time, given the sheer volume of every monthly giveaway. However, a recent PS Plus Premium leak suggested that PSP titles Thrillville and Thrillville: Off The Rails, as well as PS1 title Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, could be coming to the service. Those seem much more like a lot. Meanwhile, Batman: Arkham Origins and Batman: Arkham Knight are available on PS Plus Extra, so it only makes sense to complete the collection with the other two titles.

  • PS5: Guilty Gear -Strive-
  • PS4: Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City
  • PS3: BioShock, BioShock 2
  • PSP: Thrillville, Thrillville: Off The Rails
  • PS2: Alien Hominid
  • PS1: Buzz Lightyear of Star Command

PS Plus subscribers get a handful of games every month.
