Rain or Shine brings in new import in bid to stop the bleeding
SUMMERS’ over for Rain or Shine.
Growing desperate, Rain or Shine has shipped out Dajuan Summers and brought in a new import that can address the team’s needs after a 0-4 (win-loss) start to its Season 48 PBA Commissioner’s Cup campaign.
The replacement’s name is Demetrius ‘Tree’ Treadwell, a 32-year old journeyman who has played mostly in Israel since his last playing year for the University of Akron Zips in 2014.
Although not flashy, Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao believes the 6-7 Treadwell can better help in the areas where the Fuel Masters are getting beat, particularly off the boards.
Treadwell arrived on Sunday, just a day after a 107-102 loss to Barangay Ginebra left the Elasto Painters at the bottom of the 12-team field in a tie with Converge.
