Lennix Sutcliffe had been playing when he was struck
A boy hit by a car when playing on a scooter was the light of his small village, his family have said.
Lennix Sutcliffe, eight, was riding a small scooter when he was fatally injured as a car pulled into a driveway.
The accident happened close to his home in Woodland View, Dilton Marsh, Wiltshire, at about 16:30 BST on Saturday.
His parents Jackie and Chris described him as “a happy go lucky child who was loved by everyone and who loved everyone”.
They added: “He simply loved life and was the light of our small village. He loved Pokémon and his favourite character was Charizard.
“He was playing today, just playing, taking every ounce of enjoyment that life offered.
“We as a family are now coming together to support one another. We ask our community to provide us both time and space in the days, weeks and months ahead of us.”
Wiltshire Police said the Serious Collision Investigation Team’s inquiries into the incident were ongoing.
